This is nuts...

...that's how good it is.
I am hungry like almost all the time. But I don't eat a lot, I just always need something to bite. So what better to munch on between meals... yes! granola bars. Sometimes I bought the ones with banana and chocolate flavour at the store but always wanted to make one on my own. I could add whatever I wanted.

My friend Pia over at Joie de Vivre and Cupcakes and all of her granola recipes lately motivated me to make granola bars.

This is what I did:
I used the stuff I had at home at that moment so this is what I used:
oats
almonds
dates
peanut butter
maple syrup

I chopped almonds and dates, then mixed together all the ingredients. I can't say how much I used, I just went by the feeling. It depends on how much bars you want. I also put a lot of peanut butter and it was so delicious. Just keep in mind that peanut butter is the one that keeps other ingredients together.

So final step is to put the mixture in a square pan and push it down so they are not to high, then put it in the refrigerator for an hour. Now all you have to do is to cut them in squares and that's it! So simple you just have to do it! :)

Let me know how it goes :)

Wish you a great day!

Nizalnica

When I started college I never thought I will met so many creative and talented people. One of them is Nina. On that up coming Christmas she prepared a little gift for us. I still remember the golden wrapped present with the little bag which contained a brooch. She made it herself, so that present was extra special. She is very crafty with the jewellery and she always has something new around her neck. It's colorful and vibrant as she is.

She finally decided to open a Facebook page and it's called Nizalnica where she is showcasing some of her work so if you have the time check it out.

Would love to hear your thoughts about this so share them in the comments bellow! Share the love!

ps. ...and because the Holidays are fast approaching maybe you find a perfect gift for someone special or just for yourself :)

Wish you a great day!

Barbara

Sticky Chocolate Deliciousness

I was looking at the blogs I follow on bloglovin' and over the years I have piled them quite a lot. So I went through and discovered some good cooking blogs I completely forgot about. One of them is Call me cupcake and the first thing I saw was this Swedish chocolate cake or Kladdkaka as they call it in Sweden. I immediately checked for ingredients if I have everything I need at home. Luckily I had everything so the baking began. It is very simple and I like the fact that it's flour less. The only thing I've changed is coffee, I replaced it with water.

Find the recipe here + beautiful photos:

Here is how mine turned out...it was SO good! The only problem I have with this cake is that it disappeared too quickly.

Have a great day everyone!
Love,
Barbara
